Nekrasov/Perishable Things/2010 EP Review

Nekrasov are a 1 man band from Australia that plays a very raw and primitive form of atmospheric black metal mixed with dark ambient and this is a review of their self released 2010 ep "Perishable Things".

Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a great amount of blast beats being thrown into the music, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that following the riffing that is coming out of the guitars, as for the synths they are only used for a few seconds and they bring a dark ambient feeling to the music, in addition there are alot of harsh noise effects being utilized on the last song.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very heavy, brutal, raw and primitive sounding with some atmospheric riffing that brings an ambient feeling to the music as well as some harsh noise guitar distortion and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording.

Vocals are all high pitched black metal screams, while the lyrics cover dark and hateful themes, as for the production it has a very heavy, raw and primitive sound to it.

In my opinion Nekrasov are a very great sounding raw and primitive atmospheric ambient/black metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "C.Z.V.M" and "Womb". RECOMMENDED BUY.
