Doominhated/6 Tears Of Pleasure/Ringwraith/Tales From Middle Earth/BlackMetal.com/Split CD 2006 Review

This is a review of a split album from 2 bands that are from Italy that was released by BlackMetal.com in 2006 and are both 1 man band projects of the same person and we will start of the review with Doominhated with their half of the split "6 Tears Of Pleasure" with a music style that I would describe as being raw and primitive atmospheric/satanic black metal.

Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a good amount of blast beats being thrown into the music, while the keyboards bring a very dark and atmospheric feeling to the music, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very raw and primitive sounding with some dark melodies, while the lead guitars are very raw and primitive sounding black metal guitar leads, as for the acoustic guitars when they are utilized they use finger picking to enhance the darkness of the music.

Vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams with some Gregorian chanting as well as a brief use of clean singing in addition there are some deep growls on the last song, while the lyrics cover Satanic and dark themes with the intro being inspired by the poet Charles Baudelaire, as for the production it has a very raw and primitive sound to it.

In my opinion Doominhated where a very great sounding raw and primitive atmospheric/satanic black metal project and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Ghost And The Sadness Of The Moon" and "Mother Night, Mother Of Time". RECOMMENDED BAND.

Next up is Ringwraith with "Tales From Middle Earth" which plays a style of raw, primitive and atmospheric Tolkien inspired black metal.
